Genovese basil seeds are a great option for your garden if you want a more peppery yet sweet herb. It has hints of mint, clove, anise and cinnamon. You could use this basil for lots of things, most being savory, like pesto, salads, sauces, eggs, seafood, and many more.
Direct sow seeds after last frost for best growth, although they also do well in containers. Plant 1/4" deep in well-drained loamy soil. If they are in a container, transition outdoors after the last frost. Space seeds 4-8" apart in rows.
